July 16, 2009: Here’s an HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo. I’ve been wanting to play with this type of photography for quite a while – it takes three (or more) differently exposed photos and merges them to get a nice balance of highlights (brighter areas), shadows (darker areas), and a properly exposed photo. It usually renders beautiful landscapes and is often a little surreal, but they are a better representation of what your eye would see. In this photo you see that the apartments I live in are getting updated colors, and if you look in the pond, you’ll see our newest neighbor (an alligator)!
