March 9, 2009: Over the next week and a half, the Photo du Jour will be a flower or plant in honor of the Flower & Garden Festival - which begins March 18 at Epcot. Today's photo will probably always be in one of my Top 3 Favorites. This photo was actually an experiment with lighting after learning of a technique from a professional photographer who worked at my high school - Joe (aka "Crazy Joe"). I used a regular hand-held mirror from my mom's bathroom to provide lighting from underneath this, as I have always known it, Dragon Lilly. This photo was taken with my first digital camera (the same one used with the black and white water lily that most of you saw). I also one 1st Place in the town's fair in the category of Still Life Photography.
