August 11, 2009: I was able to add quite a few photos to my catalog from visiting Georgia this weekend. While I was at my uncle’s, which I mentioned yesterday, I took several photos of hummingbirds on the feeders around his house. After taking my dog for a walk around one of the ponds the next day, I found this imposter. This is a hummingbird clearwing. This is a moth that mimics the moves and behaviors of a real hummingbird, and, at first glance, it does a really good job.
